I want to try WordPress with full plug in option but l don’t want to pay a yearly fee….. Can l do that somehow?

    Hi There.

The free plan option on WordPress.com does not allow you access to plugins. However, you can download the open-source WordPress.org software and have the access to a variety of plugins for free.

Thanks but there is a plugin l want to try out it only works on WordPress.

I bought the plugin and wasn’t too try it alot.

Is there a way to only pay the $8 for one months just to try out and not pay the whole year?

According to this, they have a 30-day refund policy. However, you would have to be on a plan that allows you to install plugins on WordPress.com which is either Business or E-commerce.

You can read more about plans and pricing here before you commit to the purchase if you are set on using WordPress.com.

    Hi Irene

As far I know the plans are billed annually hence I had suggested you try for a month and get a refund. However, if you can not afford the once-off payment then maybe I would suggest again the open-source WordPress.org software.

If what you want is to try the plugin you purchased then that will be your best option.
You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:

You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ or reach out directly to the plugin developers.

http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.

    Ok thanks for the info.

  • Hi there!

Thanks for your interest in monthly plans. We’re currently testing this feature many customers wanted. It’s limited to test users to make sure everything is working as expected. If you are interested, I can add your name to our waitlist to contact you in case it becomes available to all customers.

Also, remember that you can purchase any plan you’d like to try and, if you’re not happy, you can cancel and obtain a refund within the first 30 days. The exception would be if you register a custom domain, you could only opt for a full refund during the first 96 hours. After that time, we would only refund the cost of the plan minus the cost of the domain.
