Free vs personal package

    Hi!

    I dont understand. On free you will get: ‘blablabla.wordpress.com’ as a domain.
    If you choose any other package deal you will get a domain without wordpress, such as: ‘blablabla.com’.

    The problem is that if you choose the personal package It says that you have to upgrade to premium to be able to get without ‘wordpress.com’ domain.

    That is not correct. A domain registration is included with the WordPress.com Personal plan.

    I Dont think you understand what i ment.
    Free = your domain will be mywebsite
    wordpress.com

    On personal, premium etc it says you will get a customize domain without the “wordpress” as sub domain. Such as mywebsite.com

    BUT! When you come to the step for choosing your webpage name it sats you must have premium to have it without wordpress in your dns. But egen you read about the packages it says that personal should have customesized domain also. So why isnt it?

    yes i still have trouble.

    If you take a few minets and check your site on stop 4/6 and 5/6 you see that it’s either incorrect information that is written or you guys have coded It wrong so the people, like me, will end up with the more expensive choise.

    Step 4/6:

    I write what i want my domain name to be. for example:BOBO
    I can now take the free alternative: (email visible only to moderators and staff) OR
    i can uppgrade my account so i don’t need the “wordpress” anymore such as bobo.blog, bobo.com, bobo.wales etc.

    BUT it says to the left of the upgrade button that it’s only avalible in wordpress.com PREMIUM. If you don’t want premium you will only get the “FREE” alternative.

    BUT if i press uppgrade you can choose between personal, premium or buisness package. ALL of them have “custom domain name”. So how come you only can take premium to get those alternative as a domain when it says that you have “custom domain name” on all packages.

    Isn’t It on page 4/6 a custom domain name you choose or do i have it wrong?

    If you press the little symbol on the right of every thing that is included in each packages on page 5/6 you clearly can read that on “custom domain name” or what the sentence is in english, have the same text. That you should get an on custom domain name, example: example.com.

    So WHY in gods name must i buy premium?

    Like I said, I will look into it why it is trying to force you to purchase the Premium plan. But you should be able to just purchase the plan, and ignore setting up the domain for now.

    Then you should be able to follow these instructions to choose a domain name AFTER you have purchased the Personal plan:

    I assure you, a domain is included with the WordPress.com Premium plan.
