French has taken over my site!

    Eek! I downloaded Polylang, started setting up my site to switch between French and english. Created a French version of the homepage (but it wasn’t listed as a homepage) and tried to toggle between the two. Once I selected French, now my English language home page has vanished, if you type in our URL in auto redirects to /fr. The french homepage isn’t visible (since it’s not really a home page) and no options to select language & get back to english. I switched the French page back to draft from Published, set my homepage as a Static page under Settings/Reading, but didn’t fix the issue. HELP please!
