  Hi,

  I would like to publicly launch my blog from scratch after many tests. If I deleted all its contents, would the stats also be reset? I’ve got an offline copy of everything.

  Any ideas?

  You should not delete your site if you would like to use the URL again.

  If you like, I can completely empty your site and revert it to its original state. I do not believe that this will reset stats, however.

  However, I will need you to confirm that you understand that this is a permanent action. Once deleted, posts/pages/media/etc cannot be recovered.

  Would you still like me to empty http://onlyifyou.wordpress.com/ of all content?

  Hi! Thanks for your reply.

  Since I see resetting all the stats won’t be possible, I have deleted all the contents myself and will add them again before launching the blog (pages and posts) so that I will at least get fresh stats on all those individual contents. As far as the total count of visits goes… will remember the figure I start with at launching and factor it in future traffic calculations.

  Probably not the most technical approach but it should do the job. What do you think? It’s a pity stats can’t be reset at will though. My mistake was creating and making tests with the site on private mode, and in the process accumulating all those visits coming from my own IP address.
