From Free to Pro/Premium

  I just started my Free blog, but if somewhere down the line, I want to upgrade, would I be able to easily transfer my free blog into the upgrade? Or would I have to start from scratch? Please let me know – thank you.

  Upgrading to a paid plan won’t affect your content. It will just give you access to more features.

  Thank you so much. If I was to upgrade to Personal, would I be able to change my domain name in order to take out the “wordpress.com”?

  Yes, that’s one of the main reasons people upgrade.
