Upon asking for a refund, a prompt saying only a partial refund would be given, and to contact customer support for the entire thing.

  • Hi there,

I’ve refunded the mapping portion of your plan as well. You should receive the full refund in about 10 business days.

Ok is it possible to reverse the domain mapping refund? Ive opened a WordPress.org website and am not able to access my front page due to domain mapping issue. Would that be resolved by reinstating the domain mapping service?

  • The reason you see a WordPress.com error message when you try to access your domain is because your domain’s name servers are still pointing to WordPress.com. You need to log in at the registrar where you bought the domain, and change the name servers to that of your new hosting provider.

After changing the name servers at your domain registrar it can still take about 72 hours before the domain will show your new site, and you might need to clear your browser cache before it will work for you.

We have no control whatsoever over your domain, and adding the mapping upgrade back to your account will just make your domain show your WordPress.com site again. It won’t help in pointing your domain to the self-hosted site.
