Full screen video on play

  Hi,

  Is it be possible to make any embedded Youtube video automatically playing in full screen mode when it starts playing ?

  I couldn’t find any setting to achieve this so far…

  Here’s an example page where i have a video embedded for any reference :

  Hi there –

  I do not suggest using an auto play method. It can slow the site down to the point where it won’t load on slower internet connections. This will allow the video to buffer properly and folks can play it on their own. Also consider they’ll have a better experience if they’re in control of the video, so they can do things like adjust their volume, etc…

  Hi and thanks for your answer.

  I was actually not thinking of an auto play function, but just an auto full-screen mode, as soon as users starts playing the video.

  Also as far as i can tell, all controls are still available when Youtube videos are playing in full screen, it just requires hovering the bottom for seeing them.

  Embedding YouTube videos that expand to fullscreen when you play them requires an iframe. That embed code will not work because we do not allow certain tags on WordPress.com, for security reasons, including iframe, JavaScript, Flash, form, and input tags.

  These restrictions are in place to prevent any disruptions in service due to potentially malicious code.
