full width template

  Using shopfront theme I used the full width template for a few pages and it worked well. I then copied and pasted as a new template giving it a different name (file name and template name within the page code). The problem is bizarre to me, when I come to use it and add a block for plain text it doesn’t use the whole page but as if there is a sidebar on the left. The code is exactly the same as the original fullwith template and that template works fine. I just cant get me head aroud it, any suggestions?
