Gain access to redundant site (admins no longer contactable)
-
Our church has a redundant website (allsaintssouthbourne.wordpress.com) which was developed by someone who is now uncontactable, and we have none of the details to verify ownership.
We are developing a new site (outside of WordPress) with its own URL, but doing a Google search for the name of the church always shows the old website.
So how can I access the out of date website in WordPress to update or remove it?
Thanks.

Hi there,
We are not able to help here in the support forums, as verifying account ownership requires us to ask you to provide info that is best not shared in this public venue.
With this in mind, please fill out this form here to the best of your ability: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
This will send all the info you have to our account recovery team, and from there they will contact you directly to assist you in regaining access to the account that owns the site you are trying to access.

Hi,
Thanks for the response, however I have already tried that form, but validation fails because none of the transaction ID, activation URL/key, or two factor authentication codes are not known.
Is there any other way to contact the account recovery team?
Thanks again.

If you add random numbers to the transaction ID field it will allow you to send the form to our account recovery team, thanks.
