Gallery content path
-
I have recently moved a blog to a new dir, from
http://www.site.com/blog
to the root dir:
http://www.site.comEverything went smoothly except for the content previously uploaded to wp-content/gallery.
It keeps giving me 404’s on images in pre-move posts and as far as I can tell it is only the gallery that does this.
The only solution I have found, and it is ugly, is to have two wp-content dirs, one in the root dir and one under the /blog subdir.
Here is an example of a post on the site:
http://www.windknot.co.za/?p=518The very first image is updated manually to point to the new installation dir, but click on any of the other images and you will see it still points to blog/wp-content/gallery/
I tested with new images and it uploads correctly to the new installation dir, so no problems with the move that I’m aware of.
How can I get all the media previously posted to point to the new root path?
Having two wp-content dirs is a waste of server space and redoing all the posts is a big task. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
