  G’day everybody
  just a few quick questions here:-
  1. At this stage I’m still a free user; let’s say if I move to other web hosts, can I bring the data/subscribers emails/Views & Analytics with me? Or they are property of WordPress?
  2. Further to Q1, after I’ve upgraded to any plans, and later I move to other web hosts, can I bring the data with me?
  3. When upgraded to Premium, does it support Google AdSense or the likes?

  Hi there,

  1. A. WPcom Followers/Subscribers can only be moved if your new hosting is using the standalone WordPress software and has the Jetpack plugin Subscribers module installed. Email Subscribers have a CSV file that can be exported.
  1. B. WPcom Stats can also be brought over to your standalone WP site using Jetpack Stats module.
  2. Not dependent on having an upgrade plan.
  3. Google Adsense cannot be used on WordPressdotcom sites. If your site qualifies, we have the WordAds program that you can apply to. Here’s more on what you can do to monetize your WPcom site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site/
