Get back an old URL

  Hi, so previously I had a blog with the URL rachelbbank.wordpress.com but deleted it at some point in the past. When I came to make a new blog I couldn’t use that URL. Even though the site appears as non-existent when I type the URL into a browser, it isn’t available for me when I try use it for my new blog. Why is this? And is there a way I can get that completely unowned URL back???

  Hi there,

  That site has been deleted and cannot be recovered. This means you will not be able to reuse the WordPress.com address. These warnings were displayed when the site was deleted:

  Delete a Website

  Whilst you can’t use the same address, there are a couple of options:

  1. Create a new site with a similar name:

  https://wordpress.com/start/

  2. Change your current blog address:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
