Get I get my website name back please?

    Hi! I recently deleted/stopped paying for my domain because I want to use squarespace.

    I tried to use it on that website but it says it’s taken. Can you please help me get my domain or get it deleted so I can use it on squarespace?

    Hi there,

    Are you speaking of thezonkygirl.com?

    I see you cancelled that domain a few days ago. Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.

    It is not possible for us to manually release that domain so you can register it somewhere else immediately, as we don’t control the process.

    But we can still restore the domain to your WordPress.com account, after which we can help you transfer or point it to Squarespace, if that’s where you want to use it.

    Please confirm if we should do that.

    Is there anyone I could talk to that has access to it and can get it back for me?

    Thanks for confirming. I’ve restored the domain to your account, so you should see it when you click on My Site.

    To transfer that domain from us to Squarespace, you can now follow these steps:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/

    That will give you a domain transfer code which you can submit at Squarespace to start the transfer.

    If they don’t accept domain transfers you can leave the domain registered here, and point it to them instead. In that case you’ll need to ask them for the A records you need to add to the domain, and then follow these instructions:
