Get my original domain back

  • Unknown's avatar

    Good morning,
Yesterday I created an account in WordPress to try to migrate the data from Joomla!. When they asked me for the website, i copy and pasted my joomla website (www.eu-about.eu). I also updated the SSL certificate and PHP of my website so everything was okay.
For some reason, after that, the website stopped working, and I could not login my Joomla admin account nor wordpress control panel.

Then I went to my personal details and in website field it said “lnx.eu-about.eu”, I don’t know why.

Then I went to the browser to use that link and there it was my webpage again. I went to joomla, and I was able to login with lnx.eu-about.eu/administrator. I went to WordPress and still I can’t login in lnx.eu-about.eu/wp-admin.

    My questions:

First of all, could we get our link back? I tried to change it manually in the profile information, but it would not do anything.

Second, why is it that I cannot login in the admin wordpress account?
Meanwhile, what I did was to create a new account in wordpress.com and we will star creating the webpage, but we ultimately want to link the website to our original domain eu-about.com.

    Thank you very much,
    Susan

  • Hi Susan,

So, are the login credentials that were set up not working when you attempt to log in from WordPress admin?

I see from lnx.eu-about.eu/wp-admin that the site isn’t hosted with us on WordPress.com, but is rather a self-hosted WordPress.org site. I would reach out to your site host (the host you migrated your site to) if you are having trouble logging into the account. They should be able to assist you with getting back in.

    Hope this helps.
