Getting a lot of spam emails from (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Last time I use to recieve quite lot emails that I got subscribe to some blogs on wordpress.com (wich I never do!) and ask me to confirm subscription.
    Like today one:

    This all looks like total spam! And I don’t know how to avoid it

    Hi there,

    I see 4 pending subscriptions in your account. Is that all of them, or have you deleted others already?

    Looking at how spread out they are, I suspect this might be a case of someone who has a similar email to you making a typo when trying to subscribe to sites using their email. Spammers/bots tend to have many more subscriptions in a very short period of time.

    There is no way to stop someone from typing your email address onto the follow blog widget on other sites. But you can block the email notifications, so you won’t receive an email every time someone tries to do this.
