Getting another domain to point to our site.

    Hi there,
    I would like to get another domain to point to our website. Is it possible to have 2 domains go to our same website?

    Hi there,

    Yes, you can add as many domains as you like to your site and they’ll all redirect to your primary domain.

    Can you briefly tell me how to do this?
    And is there any best practices for doing this? I do not want my domains to compete.

    Hi! Assuming the site is on our servers, once you’ve added one domain (which you can with our paid plans), head back to Domains to add the other one as well. You can use the Map option if you have the domain registered elsewhere, or go ahead and register a domain through us as you’d like.

    If the site is not hosted here, you’ll want to check in with your service provider to see what they allow. You’ll also want to ensure you’ve added appropriate redirects as needed, so you don’t get penalized for duplicate content. (This is done automatically for on our servers.)

    Hello Gentlemen,

    Thank you for your replies!

    What it seems like, is that I would have to do a mapping instead of transfer because WP doesn’t host .ai domain. I am trying to add Convoso.ai and point it our Convoso.com

    Please let me know if this is accurate.

    Also when I go in to manage my domains it shows that I have no site created and that I would have to write one from scratch. Is this due to permission sets or something else? I am not the primary on the account and have only been in the page editor sections.

    Many members of the support team, as well as the volunteers here, are women. :) Hello from us as well!

    Please let me know if this is accurate.

    We could host .ai domains.

    But, we can only do this for sites that are actually on our servers, and convoso.com is not — even if it is using its own independent installation of WordPress. We are not its host. That’s why it’s asking you to create a new site on our servers … one does not exist yet.

    You, or whoever has access to the hosting account, would need to talk to your hosting provider about adding an additional domain. They can likely help you.
