Getting back canceled domain name

    I had purchased the domain name ‘redemptionwriter.com’ but then I canceled it….I’d like to get it back and to be made available….

    Hi there!

    Since you canceled the domain, it will not be available elsewhere immediately (and we can’t manually release domains). If you’d like to register it elsewhere, you’ll need to wait about a week. After that time, the domain will be available for registration by anyone else.

    Note that if it does become available for registration, anyone can register the domain, so there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get it back.

    Alternatively, we can restore the domain for you. If you want to restore just the domain to use it with an external host, we can send you a manual payment request of $18 which is the price of the domain for a year. But if you want to use the domain with a WordPress.com site, you’ll need a WordPress.com plan as well.

    Please proceed as follows:

    * If you’d like to restore the domain and use it elsewhere, let us know and we’ll send you the manual payment request.
    * If you’d like to restore the domain and use it on a WordPress.com site, please choose a paid plan at https://wordpress.com/plans/redemptionwritercom.wordpress.com – A yearly paid plan will include the domain for the first year. So if you upgrade to a yearly paid plan, we’ll restore the domain at no extra cost to you.

    There’s a short window during which we can restore the domain for you so please get back to us as soon as possible with your choice.
