Getting blog posts to display on homepage

    I cannot get blog posts to display in the left sidebar of the homepage. Why is this not working? Please can you check the website to ensure this is set up correctly.

    Hi there,

    To be sure I understand, you are referring to the widget in your footer here, yes?

    If so, it appears you are using the “Display Posts” widget, which is intended for displaying blog posts from another site (not your existing site) and is a good way to show a simple list of posts from another site of yours.

    In this case I would instead recommend you use the Blog Posts block instead, which is a block that is intended to display posts from your site directly. https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/blog-posts-block/

    Please note that this is not a legacy widgets (such as you are using now) but instead you can use blocks in the widget areas same as you would add them to pages and blog posts. More info here: https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/#block-widget-options
