Getting less traffic since purchasing domain name

  My rankings have dropped considerably since I purchased a .com domain name back in January. Should I go back to wordpress.com?`

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi @popeye65,

  I wouldn’t switch back to the .wordpress.com address. Your old address already redirects correctly to christianspiritualandbiblicalinsight.com.

  A domain name change can affect rankings for a while but since you changed it in January I’d check Google Search Console next, make sure the new domain name is verified, submit your sitemap, and look under Indexing > Pages for any errors.

  I discontinued Yoast and am considering Rank Math.

  Hi @popeye65,

  Switching from Yoast to Rank Math (or vice versa) is fine, but it’s important to keep in mind that an SEO plugin alone won’t automatically boost rankings. SEO plugins primarily help format content, generate sitemaps, and give recommendations on structure.
