getting my domain name switched to bluehost

  Hi there. I just switched from a wordpress.com account to being hosted with bluehost and getting wordpress through them. However, it won’t let me transfer my domain name because it says it has been locked. Can you help me unlock it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Which domain do you want to transfer? You cancelled stattermedia.com on 2017-03-05 and there are no other domains on your account.

  Let me know which domain you are referring to and we’ll go from there.

  Hi, yes stattermedia.com is the domain I’d like to transfer over. It is locked and I’d like to have it unlocked so that I can get it through bluehost.

  Thanks for confirming. Your account is showing you cancelled your plan which included this domain on 2017-03-05. The domain needs to be active on your account in order to be transferred from WordPress.com to another registrar.

  It is only possible to transfer a domain 60 days after the registration date. This 60 day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived.

  I can try to restore the domain for you but I would need to send a payment request for the domain costs.

  The domain is currently in a grace period but if it enters the redemption period, you will need to pay an $80 redemption fee in addition to the domain costs, to try and recover it:

  Recover an Expired or Cancelled Domain

  The other option is you wait for the domain to become available again and re-register it somewhere else. This option is riskier as there is no guarantee you will get the domain back.

  As I mentioned in a previous reply, you will be able to transfer the domain to another registrar 60 days after the registration date (2017-02-28). These instructions will guide you through the process:
