Getting my domain name

    Hey, I registered a domain name with wordpress.com for 18$ … I was wondering if I could get it to be mine so I can go for a wordpress.org and get more out of my domain name.

    You can point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), with these steps:

    Change a Domain’s Name Servers

    You’ll need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)
