Getting old site back after accidentally changing domain
-
I accidentally updated my site’s address to a free .wordpress.com domain and WordPress has removed my site and I cannot access my old site (a .org) now. I am trying to update my website to the free .wordpress.com, but keep all of my site content. I have reached out to support to learn how to get my old site connected/back up and running but they have not gotten back to me yet. Any thoughts on how I can go backwards?

Hi there!
You can’t really change a WordPress.org site’s address to a free WordPress.com address, so I’m not fully sure what you mean there. Do you have a self-hosted WordPress.org site (hosted elsewhere) connected to your WordPress.com account? Or do you mean you had a custom domain set as the primary address on your WordPress.com site?
I don’t see any custom domains/subscriptions on your @sfsoundwave account. So perhaps your site was on a different account. Can you share the full domain of your site so that we can look it up on our end?
Thanks!
