Getting started and Can WP do this???

    Hi,

    I am interested in using WP do collect stories from site visitors. I would like them to be able to login to my site and post many stories (if they would like) and have them fill out a survey as part of the sotry writing process.

    So, first the user would register an account. If they click on “Post My Story” they will be then asked to answer 5-10 questions about their story. Then, they could write their story and upload pics if they would like.

    I then would want to be able to approve any stories before they appear online and be able to create a search feature based on the questions.

    Is this all doable in WP?

    Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi. What you are suggesting would be unpractical in WordPress.com. Have you thought of creating a Wiki instead?

    I agree 100% with airodyssey. Blog are not designed to function the way you describe. We can add official users to our blogs and they can create and publish their own posts.

    However, what you are describing is a wiki and there are free wikis available on the internet.
