I recently deleted my site on wordpress.com and i want to move it to wordpress.org. How long do i have to wait since the domain just expired. When can i use that domain again? Thanks

Hi there,
I assume you’re speaking of madein97.com?
That domain has not expired, as you only registered it for the first time three days ago. As you cancelled it within 48 hours of registering it, the domain should become available again by the end of this week, at which point you’ll be able to register it somewhere else.
That said, cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.
Expired domains also don’t get released immediately, but go through a process lasting around 80 days during which it becomes progressively harder and more expensive to get the domain back. Once it is finally released, there’s a very real risk that someone else will register the domain before you’re able to, so you should also never allow a domain to expire if you still want to use it.
