Ghost Images and Text on Home + Gallery Page

  There are images in the gallery and text on the home page that appear on the live site, but cannot be seen or found in edit mode (visual or code).

  The site is a legacy version from back in 2016 and the edit dashboard has been defaulted to the new version (presumed).

  I cannot find any evidence of the visible text and images on the edit pages. I also cannot access the ‘select your theme’ to potentially change or view to see if default text/images are present. I get this error message:
