Give adequate notice before withdrawing funds

I cancelled my account because you withdrew funds without telling me beforehand. DON’T DO THAT!

It is trivially easy to send a courtesy e-mail a week before so that a person can prepare themselves for a bank account deduction. I know that my $25 won’t make a difference to you, but I hope WordPress changes the way it does business, because the service is otherwise really good. I just don’t appreciate being blind-sided by financial shenanigans.

  • Actually, we did send three emails, a month, a week, and three days before the renewal, to the email address on your account.

Would you please check your spam folder?

I’ve kept all of my e-mails going back over five years. My SPAM folder keeps the last 30 days worth of suspected SPAM. There’s nothing from wordpress.com except the original receipt e-mail of 2/8/2011 until the one telling me that the withdrawal had already been made (a full month before the anniversary, by the way).

It’s a moot point now, since the account is closed. I wish the company well. Like I said before, the service is otherwise really good.
