Going from MUSE to WordPress

I have a site I made, unfortunately, with Adobe MUSE. My host, InMotion, provides WordPress. I activated WordPress through InMotion and WordPress immediately replaced my front page, so I got InMotion to deactivate WordPress and put my front page back. I could not see how to do a test site there. They would not help me with that. Is there a way to download WordPress onto my computer, get the site right, then upload it to my host? Or maybe you could tell me where that “test site” button was. I missed that.

I can see that I would be able to transfer my site to WordPress manually. That is not the issue (although if there is any way to use my old site as a template, it would save me time). Keeping it from going live is.

  • Hi there,

Looks like you’re in the wrong forum. Since you’re using the self-hosted version of WordPress you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/

These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
