  I’m new and I’m trying to figure out how to copy and paste the verification codes for Adsense where they need to be. Everywhere I look online either seems outdated or implies I need to upgrade to a business plan. Can anybody confirm this for me?

  You can’t put google adsense on a wordpress.com site unless you upgrade to the Business Plan. However when you upgrade to the Premium Plan, you can earn some pocket money form WordAds.
