  For my class assignment, I’m suppose to link Google Analytics to my WordPress account but in the detailed description, it says Google Analytics is free for everyone. When I try to go link the accounts, WordPress says I need to pay for their upgraded service. I don’t understand why it’s telling me that I have to pay when the description says it’s free and my professor is telling me that it’s free. Help please.

  Google Analytics is free when used with a self-hosted WordPress.org site. It is not available on WordPress.com unless you are a Business plan customer.
