Google Analytics for wordpress.com – impossible?

Hi people! New to wordpress and have a very annoying experience so far. It seems that I am not able to add the Google Analytics tracking code on my wordpress because I use wordpress.com and not .org. Apparently all options, which are possible solution according to other FAQ answers i find, such as ‘Editor’ in Appearances and ‘ Analytics’ in Settings are just not available for my wordpress.com hosted site. Please correct me if I am wrong.
If this is true, uhm I start to wonder…how absurd can this be? This is already 300 time I realise something is just not available for my site at all…

Did you ever find a solution? I am experiencing the same problem. I took over as webmaster for a small site and cannot figure out how to use Google Analytics.
Btw – I looked at your site and saw that you recently visited Sofia. It is a beautiful city! I am in the US, but I used to work for a Bulgarian company and visited 2 times.

Google Analytics support on WordPress.com is only available as a feature of the WordPress.com Business plan, https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-analytics/
