Google authenticator App deleted from phone
-
Hi,
I accidentally deleted my google authenticator app from my phone, now I don’t have access to do some major changes on the blog, it requires the authenticator password. I can still log in via the wordpress.com application password I have, but I can’t do any major changes in settings. Please who can help with how to recover an account with two-step authentication. Blog is naijaobserver.wordpress.com
Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The account you are logging in from is the owner of that site. As you are able to post here, you should be able to access:
https://wordpress.com/settings/security/
That page will let you turn off two-step until you are able to get your phone sorted out.

Hello Rootjosh, I can’t log in from there, this is the message I get once I go to settings/security – “For security reasons, you can only edit user settings while logged in with a Two Step Authentication code.
Please logout, then log back in with your Master Password and authentication code to continue.”
I have my master password but can’t get the authentication code. Pls kindly help anyway possible

Ah…hmmm.
In this situation, I think your best bet is to try the account recovery process here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Due to the private nature of information required for account recovery and the public nature of these forums, we cannot help with account recovery here.
