Google Domains Hosting

  Hi – I have a Google domain that I would like to connect to WordPress. The domain is connected to Google Workspace, so I would like to keep the domain at Google. Is it possible to have the hosting (and website) at WordPress and point the DNS of the Google Domain to the WordPress server? How do I do this?

  Hi there,

  Yes this is possible by upgrading to our WordPress.com Pro Plan. More info here.

  Included in that plan is the ability to connect outside domains (without actually transferring them) so your domain would stay where it is registered now, but your WordPress.com site can use the custom site address without issue.

  Do you have a site that is currently using that domain now? If so we recommend you start your site on the wordpress.com URL you are assigned (so you can set up the site in private) and as a last step you can connect your domain which will seamlessly ‘launch’ the new site and take down the old one.
