Google indexing

  • Unknown's avatar

My site is already online for 6 months and yet it does not show up on Google or Bing. Your policy states that you automatically provide major search eniges with sitemaps and indexing, but I’m afraid something went wrong. I also tried to add the metatag in my settings-directory but it doesn’t seem to help to get found.

    Please help!

  • Hi there,

I checked and your site is definitely indexed as you can see here.

The issue is that your site isn’t high on search engines which is why you most likely don’t find it on the first few pages when you search for it.

A few suggestions to increase your search rankings:

    • Connect your site to your social networks such as Facebook and Twitter via Publicize
    • Use appropriate tags and categories for your posts so that people in the WordPress community can find your post
    • You can gain a following pretty quickly if you blog regularly and consistently
    • With the above in mind, make sure that you are posting content that is high in quality and unique. Search engines will be much more friendlier to you if that is the case
