  Is it possible to add a google maps into the site showing different locations? I am then wanting for people to then be able to click on the location giving them the option of then taking them then to a blog post about that location. A facility to also filter location on different categories on the map would also be useful – is this possible?

  Hi there,

  It’s not possible to embed a Google Map like this, because it’s not possible to create a Google Map like this.

  When you embed something on your site, that data you’re embedding doesn’t actually exist on your site – when someone loads the page containing the map, we send a request to Google, who then sends us the map to display on the page. So it’s only possible to embed a map based on the options offered by Google Maps themselves, and while you can create custom maps on Google Maps, I don’t know of any way to link locations to specific web pages.

  For what you describe you instead need a service that allows you to create custom, dynamic maps, and to embed something like that would require a plugin. I don’t know of any specific service or plugin that works the way you describe, though, besides which you’d need to be on our Business Plan to use a plugin like that.
