Google Needs My Attention

  Please can you help me. I closed a blog called WordPress Sarah Chambers audios sometime ago and I need Google to delete the pages as they keep coming up 404 and I am getting emails from Google to do something about it. I deleted the site from Google so can’t get to it at all. Please can you advise as to how I can get rid of the pages that are bringing up 404. There are too many to wait for google to clear them I need to do something. Many thanks, Sarah Chambers. http://sarahchambersaudios/wp-login.php was my login but I can’t get to the blog.

  http://sarahchambersaudios/wp-login.php is not a valid URL. However, taking a guess at what it should be, I’m not seeing any evidence that http://www.sarahchambersaudios.com was a WordPress.com site. Can you double check the URL please?

  I am seeing that at one point you linked http://stressmatters.wordpress.com/ from your http://www.sarahchambersaudios.com site. Could that be what you are asking about?

  Hi Josh, the sire was called sarahchambersaudios.wordpress.com Unfortunately I shut it down by accident. The problem also being that people have linked to my articles. I have managed to request URL removal but no idea how many 404 returns there are on article links.

  And what, exactly, is Google saying in these emails? I’m not sure that I have ever heard of Google emailing anyone about a site that was getting 404 errors. They typically just drop those sites off their search results.

  Hi Josh, They came through a message from Google analytics for that website. Unfortunately I deleted the message. I have asked for them all to be taken down in a request delete URL 404, so hoping that will do the trick. But I would liked to have contacted the people who have the link on their website.

  There may be some confusion going on. Google analytics is not available for WordPress.com sites.

  But let’s hope that your request will work.
