Google Photo Search Missing

I recently signed up for WordPress.com and linked my self hosted wordpress website so that I could ‘search, and insert photos from [my] Google account’ (as is put as a feature in the WP.com blog entries) . Whilst I have been able link my Google Photos account, the search bar disappears when I choose this as Google Photos as the source. Is this a feature that has been removed since the integration and the WP.com posts about it were posted?

We still support Google Photos, and it’s working for me on my WordPress.com and Jetpack-connected sites.
All connections to external services fall under the Publicize module in Jetpack, and it looks like you currently have that module disabled. Please see if enabling it makes any difference.
If that doesn’t help, please contact Jetpack support directly, as there might be something else in that plugin that’s not working as it should.
