  How come when I google my name, WordPress does not appear? My site is my name.WordPress.com

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Céline. Your blog is indexed by Google indeed:
  http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Acelineperron.wordpress.com

  However, there are many possible explanations as to why googling your name does not give you the desired results:
  – your blog is only 6 days old
  – your name only appears on your About section and elsewhere on the site, it’s in one word (celineperron)
  – there may be other women named Céline Perron in the world

  One start might be to change your site’s name by going to Settings > General > Site title.

  Other volunteers may come here with other suggestions later on.

  I would use your name on most if not all of the Posts / Pages – your about Page for instance does not have your name on it anywhere. Google is good but it is not a mind reader.

  You have a bunch of Lighting Pages – did you do the design? If so try something like “lighting design by Celine Perron” If the design was done by a class then still try working your name and class title into the Page.

  PS – did you register your site with the search engines?

  It can also take a while 4 – 6 weeks from what I have read for Google to sort of wake up. Do more Posts, WordPress.COM calls up the search engine every time you make a Post.
