Google Search Console

    Hi, I am using the free plan and today only I connected my website with google search console. I have not yet upgraded to google analytics. So, I wanted to know, whether the search console will work without analytics or I have to upgrade to use google analytics as well. Search console is not showing any data.

    Hi there,

    Search Console and Google Analytics are two completely different tools that do two completely different things, and the data shown in one has nothing to do with data shown in the other.

    Search Console is something you use to check whether your site is properly configured for indexing by Google. It can give you warnings about stuff like broken links on your site, pages that return as unavailable, content on pages that aren’t search engine friendly, etc. You can verify a site in Search Console on our free plan.

    Google Analytics is a website analytics service, in other words, stats. We have a stats feature included on WordPress.com, but if you want more detailed analytics of how people use your site, you can use Google Analytics instead. With that you can check what pages on your site people visit, you can set up tracking to see how people move from one page to the next, what links they click on the most, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

    If you want to make use of Google Analytics on your site, that requires at least our Premium Plan.

    Hi, I am using the free plan. my website not verifying with google search console.

    Showing this message:

    Ownership verification failed
    Verification method:
    Domain name provider
    Failure reason:
    We couldn’t find your verification token in your domain’s TXT records. Sometimes DNS changes can take a while to appear. Please wait a few hours, then reopen your property in Search Console. If verification fails again, try adding a different DNS TXT record.
    Please fix your implementation and reverify, or use another verification method.
