Google search verification cannot be saved
-
I want to add HTML tag from Google Search into my wordpress settings.
Site created on wordpress.com, free plan.
Everytime when I click save settings, there is an error:
‘There was a problem saving your changes. Please, try again.’
I have a proper HTML tag, matching to the example on WordPress. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The purpose of these attempts of set, is that I want to improve Google indexing, since, my site is almost entirely not indexed in Google.

Hi @babcisynblog , sorry it’s giving you trouble. Can you create a private post on your site, and put the tag in that? You can put it in “code” tags (click the Code button, paste the tag, click code again) Then let us know when you’ve done that. Once we have the tag, we’ll try adding it on our side. Thanks!

I didn’t provide any tag so far, but site has repaired itself.
So it could be some interference from Staff side.
So thank you very much. It’s working now. -
