Google Site Domain
-
Hello, I currently have a Google Site and own the domain. I am trying to transfer what I have to a WordPress site. Is it possible for Google to still host the domain and can I transfer my current content to the WordPress site?

Hi there! You can definitely keep the domain registered there, while mapping it to a site on our servers. Mapping is free with any paid plan:

Hi there,
I see your site uses plugins and a custom theme that we do not offer “pre-installed” on WordPress.com.
You can retain your exact site design while importing to us by first upgrading to the Business Plan, then following the steps we recommend here:
Option #1 – Migrate from self-hosted WordPress site
If your intention is not to create an exact copy of the site here on WordPress.com (to replace your existing site on Google Hosting) then you can opt for either our Personal or Premium plans, and then follow the steps here to transfer data only and not your current site design:
Once you get your content moved over to us, let us know and we can walk you through the process of mapping your domain. Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
