    Guidance to map existing domain to current wordpress domain without loosing any data. Also setting up an email account.

    Hi there,

    To connect a domain you already own to your WordPress.com site you will need to buy a plan under My site ->Plans, and then you add the domain at My Site ->Domains ->Add. You can get a full explanation of the process here:

    Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)

    Adding a domain won’t affect your content in any way. The free address on your site will also still exist, and will still take people to your site. If you ever let the domain mapping expire, your site will go back to using the free address, and your content again won’t be affected in any way.
