  I received an email saying there has been a hack and my wordpress log in details have been published. Is this legit? I have reset my password. I don’t know what it means that an external site I use has been hacked? Why would another site have my wordpress log in? Please clarify

  Yes, the email was sent by us. The password reset was due to a security issue on a external site or service rather than a hack on WordPress.com. By resetting your password, we are cutting off the ability for the unauthorised person to have access to your WordPress.com account.
