Hacked
-
Hi, my WordPress site was hacked. When it was hacked, it redirected to an online pharmacy, and I no longer had any access to my site. Whenever I tried to sign into it, it just shows a blank page. The site that hosts my site was able to stop the redirect. I am still not able to sign into my site on WordPress. I have two sites on WordPress and I still have access to the other one, and from there, I can see my site that was hacked. It’s a completely new site. All of my stuff is gone. I don’t know what to do. And I have no idea if the hackers still have access to my site they hacked, so they may be seeing and getting this information. I want to delete the site they created and I want to reinstate my old site.

What is the URL of the site you are trying to access? We’ll be happy to take a look and see if we can help.

https://www.ecassadycounseling.com/ is the website that was hacked. The hosting company was able to stop the redirect, but I still don’t have access to my site to be able to change or add anything. When I go to the site, I see it as any other person would see it. I need to be able to get into it on WordPress to be able to make changes.
I have an old site with WordPress that is no longer active and I still have access to that one. From there I can see and access other sites I have with them. ECassadyCounseling is gone. In it’s place is some random site with no content. According to WordPress, ECassadyCounseling doesn’t exist so I’m not sure how it’s showing up at all online.

Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with NameCheap.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
With that said, carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures and start backing up your site.
Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.
