Happiness Chat – Connecting my PlusNet supplied domain

I’m hoping that someone from WordPress Support is able to view my recent chat ticket. I have an update and a couple of follow-up questions. I’ve located an admin on the PlusNet forum who has offered me some assistance. Of the two options you suggested could be used to connect my PlusNet provided domain name, I am told:-
‘Option 2 is the only option of you keeping the domain registration with PlusNet. Is it just an A record you need to add?’
He adds; ‘You can add CNAME (to another hostname) and A records (to an IP address) via the PlusNet website, however the controls are finicky and very picky about formatting etc. Because of this, I’m happy to help configure things for you if you are able to provide the specific records that WordPress are suggesting you add.’
So, assuming I upgrade my package as required, can you advise / assist with what my helper is asking?
Secondly, as I plan to retain managing my email via PlusNet, rather than utilise anything you can offer me, is there a reason why the DNS records information you referred to is actually required?

The WP AI suggests I use option 2, which is what I thought we’d established, but how do I obtain the required information to use?

Seems I may not be able to obtain the actual settings until I upgrade.
