Harmonic theme related questions

    Hello,

    I’ve started using the Harmonic theme but I have some questions about it.

    I’ve read the « setting up you front page » but that was not enough to resolve my problems.

    Two questions:

    1. When I activate the theme, a section « Homepage » is automatically created in the menu, referring to my blog address.
    To create the front page, I have created a new « homepage » page instead of the previous one, but it now refers to http://www.myblog address/homepage. I would like the homepage (=frontpage) to be linked directly to the main address. I can modify the address from the page section but it automatically modified it to www…./homepage. Any ideas ?

    2. I would like to create a slide show in my front page with a possibility to go to the next picture by clicking (on a « next » button for example). Do you know how I could insert it ?

    This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

    You cannot activate a theme until your register a blog for the theme to appear on. Point your browser to http://wordpress.com/signup to register a blog.

    mezameyobacchus – while Harmonic isn’t yet available in the WordPress.org directory, it should be soon, and then it’ll have its own forum where you can post questions.

    Harmonic doesn’t come with a slider, but you could check out a plugin to add that functionality:

    It’ll be easier to help you with this over in the WordPress.org forums.

    1) First, create a free WordPress.org account:

    2) Post your question in the general themes forum:
