have a word press blog and word press account but neither seem to be linked.

  I have a word press account, and I have a blog created in wordpress, but the two accounts dont match
  when i try to log in to wprd press with the word press details i have for the blog log-in it does not recognise them and like-wise when I log onto the blog I cannot access my wordpress account. I dont want to try to lose the things on my blog so unsure what to do. Please could anyone help?

  Hi, Raincoaster, the blog is http://landroverblogger.com. I dont know what the http is of my wordpress account, how do I find that ?

  Well, what we have here is a common confusion.

  http://www.landroverblogger.com/ is not a WordPress.com blog. It is a WordPress.ORG blog. That’s why your credentials at WP.com are not recognized for http://www.landroverblogger.com/. They are entirely separate. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.org bloggers.

  Hi timethief, I do have an account name showing.
  The reason this query has come up is because I was trying to set up a gravatar, and on their site it tells you if you have a WP.com account you can use the same details for their set up. I tried to use this and couldnt undertand why it wouldn’t work. It’s a same as the username I want for my gravatar is “already in use” ironically by me with the WordPress account I have but dont use. (if you see what I mean)!
