Having issues renewing an expiring upgrade

  I’m receiving notification on my blog that it will be expiring soon, and I’d like to renew the Premium subscription, although in the upgrades section, Renew does not appear as an option. I tried re-purchasing the Premium upgrade, however it did not go through and said that my blog already has the upgrades that I’m trying to purchase. I am not the original owner of the Blog, although I’ve been switched to Admin by the person who set up the blog.

  Hi there,

  Please note that for upgrades, only the user who purchased it can renew it. However, with confirmation the user can transfer it to you. Would that be possible? If it is, then I will take this to a private email conversation to get the process going.

  Yes, I’ve messaged the owner and I shouldn’t have a problem getting confirmation. What does she have to do to transfer owners?

  Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address.

  To transfer a blog from one username account A to another username account B the blog’s owner must first log in under the username account A that owns the blog you want to be transferred to the other username account B.

  Then A adds the other username account B as an Admin of the blog.

  user roles http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

  Lastly A uses this process to transfer the blog to that username account B instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
