having trouble changing my theme AND changing my wordpress.com URL

  I’d love to change my blog theme to Illustratr but when I try to do this – my pictures from my current blog all show up in duplicate and my widget sidebar disappears. Can somebody advise me on what I’m doing wrong?
  Also – is it possible to change the BLOG URL from atasteofwintergreen.wordpress.com to loveinkitchen♥?

  Hi there,

  The Illustratr theme works a bit differently from some other themes, so it may take some extra steps to set it up completely once you switch your blog to that theme. We have a page with more details for setting it up here:

  Also, the widget section in Illustratr is different — instead of using a sidebar, the theme adds a widget panel at the bottom of the page. You can view the widget panel by clicking the “+” symbol there. (You can also check that out on the Illustratr demo site.)

  If you have any further trouble getting that theme working, just let me know after you switch your blog to Illustratr and I can take a look to see what’s going wrong.

  Also – is it possible to change the BLOG URL from atasteofwintergreen.wordpress.com to loveinkitchen♥?

  It isn’t possible to include symbols like ♥ in a blog’s URL, but if you’d like to change the URL you can do that with this guide: Changing a Blog Address
