Header image difficulty

  I’m trying to use an image for a header but don’t know how to code. I’ve followed some instruction but cannot seem to make it happen. Could you tell me how to use an image as a header please?

  On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

  If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please ask for help at https://wordpress.org/support/forums instead.

  You shouldn’t need to use any code to add a header image – that’s something that would be built into your theme.
