Header Width from Theme

Hi there, I am trying to create the look I want and am using a free theme that you guys are offering. I am finding the heading too large for what I am looking for is there anyway to adjust it or do I have to change themes?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

Comparing the static front page header file image to the scaled and cropped header image on both the Sela demo and a test site, I found that the Sela theme evidently scales the file image to 1180 pixels wide, and crops the height at 610 pixels, although I’m not sure order of the scaling and cropping. Somewhat surprisingly, I found that the height of the header image remains constant regardless of the content of the page, which appears in the overlay.

Your header image has a file size of 570 pixels. Because the height is already below 610 pixels, when the width is scaled to 1180, the height remains at 570. So your header image is 1180 X 570 pixels. On the Sela theme it would require CSS customization to reduce either the width or the height of a header image.

    Clarification:
    I said,

Your header image has a file size of 570 pixels.

    I should have said,

The file image used to create your front page header image has a height of 570 pixels.

If you don’t mind editing the file image, or using another image, then you may reduce the height of the displayed header image by starting with a file image of lesser height. A file image of 1180 (or more) pixels width and a height of 285 pixels would produce a featured image that is half the height of the present featured image.
